According to Paracelsus, "the sumum of theological and philosophical truths is contained in the religion of the two lights, the light of grace and the light of nature". We have wanted to follow the lessons of this Renaissance genius, and to order the principles, the grace or mystic and the nature of chemistry.

Faith

"Faith and wisdom are twin sisters: God doesn't accept one without the other". ('Ali, in a Treasury of Ancient Wisdom by W. Perry)

"By 'profound faith' we don't mean to say not having the slightest doubt, rather to trust in what the Buddha promised, than he would never abandon the sinner regardless of however bad he may be. He has assured a certain birth in the Pure Land to those who pronounce his sacred name even if only once." (Honen, Zen Master, in a Treasury of Traditional Wisdom )

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen". ( Hebrews 11, 1)

"Your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God". ( 1 Corinthians 2, 5)

"And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain". (1 Corinthians 15, 14)

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Isn't there more to life than food and more to the body than clothing? [.] Think about how the flowers of the field grow; they do not work or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these! And if this is how God clothes the wild grass, which is here today and tomorrow is tossed into the oven, won't he clothe you even more, you people of little faith ? [.] But above all pursue his kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6, 25-33)
