According to Paracelsus, "the sumum of theological and philosophical truths is contained in the religion of the two lights, the light of grace and the light of nature". We have wanted to follow the lessons of this Renaissance genius, and to order the principles, the grace or mystic and the nature of chemistry.

Wisdom

"No one will understand esoteric lectures, filled with mysteries and secret things, were it not for the wisdom of God that reveals it to them." (H. Khunrath, Amphitheatrum sapientiae aeternae or The Amphitheatre of Eternal Wisdom )

"For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it" (Proverbs 8, 11)

"This is what we read in the first verses of Genesis, also called the "Book of the Principle", principle of the great Art, of course, but published in this exile: creation of the world. There we find that: In the principle, Elohim created (Genesis 1, 1), the wise have read: "In wisdom, he created". (E. d'Hooghvorst, Penelope's Thread II )

"All-powerful God, Father of the Light from whom all good and perfect gifts are coming, I beg your infinite mercy. Let me know your eternal Wisdom . It is she who surrounds your throne, who has created and has acted, who leads and conserves everything. From the heaven of your sanctuary and the throne of your glory, deign to send her to me that she may be and work in me, as she is the mistress of all the celestial and hidden arts, who has the intelligence and the science regarding all things". (N. Flamel, Alchemist's Prayer)

"The earth, from which food comes, is overturned below as though by fire; a place whose stones are sapphire and which contains dust of gold; a hidden path no bird of prey knows, no falcon's eye has spotted it. Proud beasts have not set foot on it, and no lion has passed along it. On the flinty rock man has set to work with his hand; he has overturned mountains at their bases. He has cut out channels through the rocks; his eyes have spotted every precious thing. He has searched the sources of the rivers and what was hidden he has brought into the light. But wisdom , where can it be found? Where is the place of understanding? (Job 28, 5-12)
